Ohhh what wonderful texture and I love the look and feeling it gives. Art is a great way of opening up the emotions and showing them on canvas. Great works! *HUGS*

Annette...I thought the same thing but then when I closed out the entry...there was the box with the browse to image button. It was UNDER the other pages instead of popping up on top. Who knows why things happen sometime.
Lovin' em! 123 makes me think a little of Howard Hodgkin, with the framing look to it. The cityscape one is fabulous.
As for buffing, I find that it fades very quickly. Don't know why and really, don't think I will bother. Mind you, it does look good when it is done. Shows up the textures more too, I think.

Hi Kari, On the buffing...I'm told that over a period of months (depends on the color of pigment)...the bloom finally stops and it stays fairly glossy. There is a product that EvansEncaustic.com makes to put on it as a final finish (High Shine) and then it won't do that. So far I haven't tried it since you can no longer work on them once it's applied. Maybe if you wanted to ship them out never to be seen again, that would be the way to go.
Aaah! Thanks for that Cheryl, I will persist with the buffing I think and if that doesn't work,then Evans Encaustic here I come! I am glad to say, I managed to borrow a copy of Joanne Mattera's book from my local library(that was a very pleasant surprise!), so hopefully, I can iron out a few of the technical blips and then start getting arty.
